About Zack Youngquist & Interpose Ag
Some of the greatest innovations in agriculture have come from farmers who refused to accept that “the way it’s always been done” was the only way forward.
Interpose Ag was founded by fifth-generation Illinois farmer Zack Youngquist with one simple belief: fertilizer should deliver more value to the farmer—not just more cost.
After years of farming, Zack became increasingly frustrated with an industry that had changed very little despite rising input costs, consolidation, and shrinking farm profitability. Rather than accepting the status quo, he began asking a different question:
Why are we still moving tons of inefficient fertilizers when modern chemistry could deliver more plant nutrition in a better way, without sacrificing the necessary pounds?
That question led to years of research, formulation work, field testing, and countless iterations. The result became the Unicorn Method—a proprietary liquid fertilizer platform built around delivering unprecedented concentrations of phosphorus and potassium in a safe, stable liquid unlike anything previously available in commercial agriculture.
Today, Interpose Ag is introducing what we believe is an entirely new category of crop nutrition. Rather than simply competing against conventional fertilizers, we are redefining how nutrients are manufactured, transported, stored, and applied. Our philosophy is simple: pounds, not ounces, and nutrients only, always.
Every Interpose product is designed with one objective: maximize farmer return on investment by delivering more usable nutrition with fewer passes, greater efficiency, and simplified fertility programs.
Our vision extends far beyond selling fertilizer. We believe American agriculture deserves greater competition, greater innovation, and technologies that put more profit back into the hands of growers. Through continued research, manufacturing expansion, and strategic partnerships, Interpose is building the next generation of fertilizer solutions that improve both farm profitability and long-term sustainability.
Innovation doesn’t happen by following the crowd. It happens by questioning assumptions, challenging decades of conventional thinking, and creating solutions that didn’t exist before.
That’s the story of Zack Youngquist.
That’s the mission of Interpose Ag.
